Police say that members of the Niagara Regional Police Service – #1 District Detective Office are conducting an investigation into two separate incidents of reported suspicious behaviour involving high school aged females. These incidents are not believed to be connected.

 

The first incident occurred on Monday, June 13, 2016: At about 3:00pm a female student was walking in the area of Glenview Avenue and Vine Street in St. Catharines when she was approached by a vehicle occupied by a lone male driver. The driver initiated a conversation with the girl, and subsequently drove off after she walked away from the vehicle.

The male driver in the first incident was described as white, in his fifties to early sixties, white hair and clean shaven. He was operating a red 4-door car or possibly an SUV; the vehicle was described as having a higher stance.

The second incident occurred on Tuesday, June 14, 2016: At about 7:30 am a female student was walking in the area of Pine Street North and Albert Street West in Thorold when she was approached by a vehicle occupied by a lone male driver. The driver initiated a conversation with the girl, and subsequently drove off after she walked away from the vehicle.

The male driver in the second incident was described as white, in his thirties to forties, short dark hair, with an average build. He was operating a white car, believed to be a sedan, with what appeared to be a spoiler on the trunk.
