The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced their schedule for the franchise’s 100th season and St. Catharines is on the list! The Leafs are set to play the Meridian Centre with a pre-season game against Buffalo on Thursday September 29th at 7pm with ticket information at this time still unconfirmed.
Other schedule highlights that have been revealed:
-The Maple Leafs will also host the first-ever NHL Centennial Classic, an outdoor regular-season game at BMO Field in Toronto, against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday, January 1.
-The team’s annual development camp will take place from July 4-9 in Toronto and Niagara Falls with camp set to be in the falls on the afternoon of the 4th.
-The first on-ice practice session will take place on Tuesday, July 5 at the Gale Centre Arena (5152 Thorold Stone Rd). (All practices (July 5, 6 & 7) will be closed to the public).
-The team will hold an inter-squad scrimmage on Friday, July 8 at 10 a.m. at the Gale Centre Arena, which will be open to the public (doors at 9 a.m.).Admission is free but non-perishable donations to the Project SHARE food bank are encouraged.
