In August of 2016 members of the Niagara Regional Police Sexual Assault Unit entered into an investigation involving an allegation of sexual assault in the city of Welland.
As a result of the investigation; on September 15, 2016 police say an arrest was made with the assistance of the Welland Street Crime Unit.
Charged with sexual assault, sexual assault involving a third party, possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and possession of a schedule two substance (marihuana) is 33 year old Welland resident, Kelleh Mansaray.
Kelleh Mansaray was held in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing on September 16, 2016 at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street in the city of St Catharines.
Investigators believe that there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Sexual Assault Unit at extension 5100.
