Carrie Fisher died Tuesday at 60 years of age, just days after suffering a massive heart attack on board a flight from London to LAX .

 

Fisher is known best for her iconic role of Princess Leia in Star Wars…

 

but she also starred in well-known flicks like “The Blues Brothers”

and  Shampoo…

“When Harry Met Sally and many more…

 

Besides her acting career, Fisher was well-known to have battled substance abuse throughout her life and in 1987 she penned the book Postcards from the Edge, a semi-autobiographical novel. It was later adapted by Fisher herself into a motion picture of the same name.

At the time of her untimely death, Fisher had been on a publicity tour for her newest book, “The Princess Diarist.”

Carrie is survived by her mother, Debbie Reynolds, daughter, Billie Lourde, brother, Todd Fisher, and sisters Tricia and Joely Fisher. Billie made an appearance with her mom in ‘The Force Awakens.’
