On Thursday January 12th 2017 members of the Niagara Falls Street Crime Unit conducted an investigation into a crystal methamphetamine drug operation in Niagara Falls.  Police say detectives made observations of a Motel Room located on Lundy’s Lane and observed short visits to and from the room.  Detectives also observed the occupant of the room to exit and conduct drug transactions in parking lots of neighbouring businesses.

 

As a result of the observations Detectives conducted a traffic stop with the assistance of Uniform Officers in Niagara Falls.  The occupants of this vehicle were observed to exit the Hotel Room after a short visit.  The occupants were arrested and Detectives located over $5200 worth of crystal methamphetamine and a quantity of cash.

Detectives then executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant for the motel room.  Inside a male was located and arrested.  Detectives located a small quantity of crystal methamphetamine and a quantity of cash.

Charged is 41yr old Donald CATCHPAW of Port Colborne.  CATCHPAW is charged with possession of crystal methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.  CATCHPAW is held pending a bail hearing on January 13th 2017.

Charged is 39yr old Daniel DICATO of Welland.  DICATO is charged with possession of crystal methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.  DICATO is held pending a bail hearing on January 13th 2017.

Charged is 45yr old Kevin Andrews of Niagara Falls.  Andrews is charged with possession of crystal methamphetamine and released with a future court date.
