Police say on February 7th 2017, members of the Niagara Falls Street Crime Unit conducted an investigation into a male that was selling drugs from his home as well as in area parking lots throughout Niagara Falls.  This same male was previously arrested by the Niagara Falls Street Crime Unit for drug trafficking in 2014.

 

Recent police observations led to the issuance of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant for the accused Jasmin Minty’s McLeod Rd residence.  Detectives then arrested the accused as he met a customer in the parking lot of an area variety store on McLeod Road in Niagara Falls.  Detectives located $120 worth of cocaine and a quantity of money and as a result they were both arrested.

Street Crime Detectives subsequently executed the search warrant on his McLeod Rd residence.  A large quantity of drugs was located in the accused’s bedroom.  The search of the bedroom revealed over $50,000 worth of drugs.  Detectives located over 330g of cocaine ($33,000), $16,900 of cannabis resin (shatter-169 packages), $2000 worth of marijuana and 4 ecstasy doses.

Charged is Jasmin Minty of Niagara Falls.  Minty is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking x 5, possession of proceeds of crime X 2 and breach of probation.  Minty was held for a bail hearing.

Charged is William Brett Metzler of St Catharine’s.  Metzler is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and Possession of proceeds of crime.  Metzler was released with a future court date.
