B.A.R.K. (Boudreaux’s Animal Rescue Krewe) was founded  during Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  During this devasting time they helped resuce 1000’s of dogs by bringing them north to Canada and the Northern U.S. States and since then the tradition has continued as they strive to save unwanted animals and find them a home!

Their belief is every life has a value and will stop at no cost and travel huge distances to find them all new “furever” homes.  So, mark your calendars as the BARK Krewe is heading to Canada for a Mega Adoption Event. BARK is also partnering with the Welland Humane Society and will be set up at the Pet Valu at 420 Vansickle Drive in St. Catharines, Ontario on Thursday, April 20th and go to Wednesday, April 26th from 10 am to 7 pm.

The BARK Krewe says they are really excited about this upcoming event and have some very deserving dogs that need homes that are of all sizes and personalities. If you are not looking to adopt a dog but maybe looking for a cat, there will be cats available inside Pet Valu for adoption.  Please come by and help them walk dogs or come by to adopt or tell your friends about adopting and saving an animal’s life.

Their goal is to find all of these loving pooches homes this trip so please spread the word.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

*Come by and adopt a new furry friend!

*Come by and help walk dogs!

The Bark Krewe would like to extend a special thanks to Jeff and Rhonda at Pet Valu for allowing them to host this adoption event and a special thanks to Welland Humane Society for partnering with BARK for this adoptathon as well.

THE BARK KREWE  NEEDS A NEW TRAILER

Time has played a devasting role on the transport trailer they use to take these lost souls to their new homes and transport them from the hospital to the shelter.

TRAILER

It has been patched, welded and braced as many times as it possibly can.    If they wish to continue to bring these animals to a safer and happier place they need to replace their trailer.   As you would expect, relying completely on donations  makes it very difficult to  fund such a great expense.

Some of BARK Volunteers set up a GoFund Me account to raise money to purchase a new trailer.  Check out this link if you would like to donate to help raise money towards their $15,000 goal.    https://www.gofundme.com/new-transport-trailer-for-bark
