Since the beginning of October members of the Guns Gangs and Grows Unit have been investigating a Barbican Trail, St. Catharines residence for selling drugs.

 

On October 19th, 2017 the target of the investigation drove his vehicle to conduct a drug transaction on Carriage Road in St. Catharines. Upon conducting his transaction Police approached and arrested him.

Police applied for and were  granted a search warrant to enter and search the Barbican Trail home. Upon attending the residence Police encountered two females in the driveway where they were arrested.

Police searched the residence and located and seized a very large amount of powerful prescription medication that consisted of Oxycodone , Hydromorphone, Codeine and Fentanyl. In total Police seized $58,123.00 in drugs and $6300.00 in cash believed to be proceeds of crime.

Charged with 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and 1 count of Possession of Proceed of crime is 76-year-old Joseph Ishkhanian. Charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking is 26-year-old Whitley Sacco. Both these accused will attend a bail hearing in the morning. Also charged was 36-year-old Brooke Bridgman with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bridgman was released from custody and will return in November to answer to her charges.
