The Niagara Region is warning the delays that started last week after the contractor told the region it did not have the resources to complete the pickup in some areas are projected to continue longer than expected.
In a release, regional officials now warn those delays are expected to continue into next week saying:
Leaf and yard waste collection delays are continuing across the region due to a lack of Contractor resources and volume of materials to complete the work. Collection will continue tomorrow and into next week. Residents can either leave their materials curbside or remove and place out next week. . We apologize for the inconvenience.
