Police say that at about 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, the Niagara Emergency Medical Services, Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire Services and the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to reports of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) roll over on Stewart Road near Carlton Street in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

 

Initial investigation revealed that a 20-year-old St.Catharines male was riding an Arctic Cat ATV northbound on Stewart Road when he lost control of the vehicle and the ATV rolled.

This rider suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital before being transported to an out of town hospital in critical condition.

This collision remains under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit.
