The City of St. Catharines has lots of facilities open today for Labour Day including:

St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre: Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is by donation

Outdoor pools and splash pads: Lion Dunc Schooley Pool is open on Monday but will close for the season at dusk. City splash pads at Bogart Street Park, Catherine Street Park, Pearson Park and West Park are open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. until the end of September

Lakeside Park Carousel: The carousel will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Starting Sept. 4, the carousel will be open on weekends only until Monday, Oct. 8

Garden City Golf Course: The city-run golf course will be open from 7 a.m. to dusk, weather permitting

CLOSED TODAY:

City offices: City hall, Enterprise Centre, Victoria Lawn Cemetery offices and the parks, recreation and culture services administration offices.

Entertainment/sports facilities: FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre, Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre, Bill Burgoyne Arena and Garden City Arena Complex, Meridian Centre.

Russell Avenue and Port Weller community centres, Dunlop Drive, Port Dalhousie and West St. Catharines older adult centres.

St. Catharines Transit will be operating on a holiday schedule. Transit will return to its regular schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
