During the month of June,  police say detectives from the Crime Unit initiated a drug investigation in  St.Catharines.

 

On June 18th, they were successful in obtaining a Controlled Drugs and Substances search warrant for a residence in south St.Catharines where police seized over $2,000 in cocaine and methamphetamine and several hundred dollars in proceeds of crime.

Police also seized 3 long guns during the investigation, 2 which have been altered.

Charged with 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance, 1 count of possession of proceeds obtained by crime, 3 counts of careless storage of a firearm,3 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, 1 count of unauthorized possession of ammunition, and 2 counts of fail to comply with a recognizance is 33 year old Jeffery Allard of St.Catharines.

Allard was held in custody and will appear at a bail hearing June 19th, 2019 in St.Catharines.
