Investigators confirm a body was found in a Niagara Falls home in the area of Carl Rd and McKenney Rd., after a  huge fire broke out at aproximately 7:20 am Sunday morning.

It’s reported that forty five firefighters responded to the blaze and fought it for over 5 hours before the roof caved in and the flames were extinguished.

Detectives are now on the scene and continuing to investigate the cause of the fire and the death. The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed.

The coroner was on scene and will continue to hold the area while the investigation continues over the coming days.  However, the investigation has been hampered by the structural safety at site following the fire.
