Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service say they have been investigating a shooting incident that occurred in April of 2019, in Niagara Falls.

 

As a result they have formed grounds for the arrest of a Pickering man for his role in a shooting incident that occurred at the Sundowner Nightclub on April 20, 2019.

The investigation learned that within hours of the shooting incident the man was stopped by the Ontario Provincial Police driving on the 427 Highway near Finch Street in Toronto.

The man was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. After being arrested, charged and released with a court date, the Ontario Provincial Police determined that the man had falsely used the identity of a relative at the time of his arrest.

Kenneth Yu (33 years of old) of Pickering is wanted by the Niagara Regional Police Service for the alleged offences of:

– Carry Firearm in a Careless Manner
– Carry a Concealed Weapon
– Discharge Firearm
– Possess Restricted Firearm
– Posses Firearm Contrary to Order

Yu is wanted by the Ontario Provincial Police for the alleged offences of:

– Impaired driving
– Impersonation

Yu is known to have ties throughout the greater Toronto area.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Yu is asked to contact their local police and to not approach him.
