There is a recall in Canada and the U.S. for millions of dehumidifiers and if you have one you are advised to unplug it, take it back and get a refund because they can overheat and then catch fire.

The recall includes units are made under the brand names Danby, Fedders, Fellini, Frigidaire, GE, Kenmore, Norpole, Premiere, Seabreeze, SoleusAir and SuperClima. But, they all have one thing in common…they are made by Gree, a company in China.

The products were sold at places like Home Depot, Lowe’s, Sam’s Club, Sears, Walmart and other stores nationwide, including online outlets like Amazon.com and eBay.

The vast majority were sold in the U-S, about 55 thousand were sold here in Canada.
