Do you wish for a fur companion that will enjoy your quiet nights in while you’re relaxing and wanting someone to enjoy the evenings with? (main picture is Lincoln)
Or to even be the life of the party with their silly and outgoing antics? Look no further than our gentlemen with eyes of emerald green and fur like velvet, Lincoln. Lincoln is our six and half year old and is our FIV positive feline up for adoption. Below, Lincoln strikes a pose…
FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus which affects the immune system of the cat. It is transmittable between cats generally through deep bites. So whenever the humane society gets strays in with many wounds or even scars from past fights we make sure to test them right away. (For more complete information regarding this virus please speak to a veterinary professional.)
With this disease FIV positive cats are only to be adapted to single cat or FIV positive households. Even though they will have this virus for the duration of their lives many cats can live long healthy lives staying indoors and monitoring their health care like any other pet you would own.
Lincoln is a favourite among all the volunteers as he is our biggest cuddle buddy we have. He enjoys running around the reception area during his exercise time. And if he knows I am sitting up at front to work at the desk he will wait for the opportunity to jump on my lap to have his nap while I work and pet him. Not many cats like this, but Lincoln does not mind in the slightest! He lets me pick him up and hold him for pets without a care in the world, and he will just purr and purr while giving me his slow blinks as he stares at me.
If you’re looking for a well-mannered lovable cuddly cat with some spunk this is your man. Spread the word on this handsome fellow and let’s find him his forever home!
