Since September, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service have been receiving numerous complaints of residential break and enters in City of St.Catharines. The majority of the entries were occurring in the central St.Catharines area and were in close proximity to each other.  A possible suspect was identified, on October 1st 2014 and police  began to monitor the suspects activities.

At approximately 1:00 p.m., police say they observed a 28 year old St.Catharines man commit a break and enter on a Woodland Avenue residence that they arrested inside while he was stealing the home owners property.

Charged with Break and Enter commit Theft Under $5000 and Breach Probation x2 is 28 year old John EPP of St.Catharines.

Police later executed a search warrant at EPP’S residence which they say revealed a large quantity of suspected stolen property. Police anticipate laying several other break and enter charges against EPP in the upcoming week as they try to track down the owners of the recovered property.

EPP is currently in custody at the Niagara Detention Centre.
