Lois Lilienstein, of the Canadian children’s musical trio Sharon, Lois & Bram, died Wednesday at age 78 from a rare form of cancer according to her son David Lilienstein (pictured in the middle).
Born in Chicago in 1936, Lilienstein formed the popular singing group with Sharon Hampson and Bramwell (Bram) Morrison in Toronto in 1978 and enjoyed great success with songs like Skinnamarink and Peanut Butter as well as on the popular TV program Lois and Bram’s Elephant Show.
The other surviving members Hampson, 72, and Morrison, 74, continue to tour.
