Strong and gusty southwest winds today.

Strong and gusty southwest winds are expected today in the wake of a cold front which moved east across the region this morning. Frequent wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h are expected. A few higher gusts are possible especially near the shore of Lake Erie in the Port Colborne to Fort Erie area.

Motorists should be prepared for strong and gusty winds which may result in difficult driving conditions.

The strong winds will become more westerly and diminish somewhat by this evening.
