Police say, on Saturday, June 20th, 2015 at approximately 3:45 p.m. the Niagara Regional Police Service and the Niagara Emergency Medical Services responded to a workplace accident at Seaway Farms on Lakeshore Road, Niagara on the Lake, within the Regional Municipality of Niagara, Ontario.
Initial investigation revealed that a 72 year old male was operating a John Deere Gator utility vehicle on this farm when he collided with the back a parked 1974 Ford truck. The male driver suffered life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to the Niagara Health Sciences St.Catharines Site before being taken to the Hamilton Health Sciences General Site by ambulance where his condition has since improved.
This collision remains under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Ministry of Labour.
