Officers remained on-scene to assist with traffic control and noted dozens of vehicles disregarding both the signage and the temporary traffic signal.

In addition to the dozens of warnings given to drivers, thirteen Provincial Offence Notices were issued for various Highway Traffic Act violations.Drivers are reminded to be aware of the new signage, temporary traffic lights and traffic personnel in construction zones and to use caution as new traffic patterns and delays are expected. Please use patience or find an alternate route.

Construction in this area is expected to continue with an expanded delay at the intersection of Lakeshore Road and Lake Street on Friday June 26th.
