According to police, on Friday July 24, 2015 at approximately 12:25 am members of Niagara Emergency Medical Services and Niagara Regional Police Service attended a residence located at 26 Front St. N. in the city of Thorold in response to a robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival police learned that 3-4 male suspects armed with knives confronted the 3 occupants. One of the occupants sustained serious injuries and was transported to Hamilton General Hospital where the condition of the occupant remains critical.

 

The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival and it is believed the suspects are known to the occupants.

Investigators are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have additional information to call Detective Constable E. Warkentin of  the 1 District Detective Office at (905) 688 4111 ext. 4309.
