Police say on Tuesday September 15, 2015 the Niagara Regional Police were called to a department store in The City of St. Catharines for a violent sexual assault.

A female employee was held locked inside the store washroom where she was viciously attacked and St. Catharines Uniform Patrol along with the K9 Unit located the male hiding a short distance away.

The Niagara Regional Police Sexual Assault Unit entered into the investigation and subsequently charged 41 year old St. Catharines resident Kevin KOHL with a number of offences.

KOHL is charged with Sexual Assault with a Weapon, Forcible Confinement, Overcome Resistance by Choking, Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Uttering Threats and two counts of Fail to Comply with a Probation Order.

KOHL is currently held in custody pending a Bail Hearing to be held at the Robert S K Welch Court House, 68 Church St., St. Catharines, on September 16, 2015.
