Police say, on Friday March 18, 2016, at approximately 12:10 am, Officers from the 2 District detachment of the Niagara Regional Police Service attended a local Niagara Falls hotel on Lundy’s Lane near Dorchester Rd in response to a break and enter that had just occurred.

 

Information received by police indicated that suspects had entered one of the hotel rooms by force and assaulted the male occupant of the room. During the altercation, the male victim was stabbed multiple times with a knife. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in serious condition. The suspects fled the area shortly before police arrival.

Investigation of the incident resulted in police identifying one male suspect, 54 year old James Carson Sr. of Niagara Falls. Carson was arrested and charged with Break and Enter, Commit and Aggravated Assault. Carson was transported to 1 District Security to await a bail hearing on Friday March 18, 2016.
