Police say, on Sunday, June 12, a 20 year old man from Stoney Creek was arrested for driving 167 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.  He was stopped on the QEW near Welland Av. in the City of St. Catharines.  He was charged with speeding and stunting, the vehicle was impounded for 7 days and the male’s driver’s licence was suspended for 7 days.

 

In addition, over 30 tickets were issued throughout the region, a majority of which were for driving while using a cell phone or not wearing seat belts.
