Police say on Sunday, August 7th, 2016 at approximately 5:10 p.m. the Niagara Regional Police Service, the Niagara Emergency Medical Services and the West Lincoln Fire Services responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Caistor Centre Road near Twenty Road in the Township of West Lincoln, within the Regional Municipality of Niagara, Ontario.

 

Initial investigation revealed that a 2004 Chevrolet Caviler motor vehicle was being operated northbound on Caistor Centre Road when the driver of the Chevrolet lost control and left the roadway. This motor vehicle rolled a number of times before coming to final rest in a farmer’s field on the west of Caistor Centre Road.

There were two occupants in this vehicle, a 26 year-old female from Simcoe and a 27 year-old male from West Lincoln. Both occupants suffered life-threatening injuries and had to be transported to a Hamilton Hospital by ambulance where they remain in critical condition.This collision remains under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit.
