A Niagara Falls man tried to walk away from a crash in Port Colborne unsuccessfully.
Police say that on Saturday April 8th, at about 7:30 pm a 2008 White Ford F350 pickup was travelling westbound on Main Street West in the city of Port Colborne. The pickup left the roadway, struck a number of concrete planters, hit a light post and then a tree before coming to a stop.
According to witnesses, a man and woman got out of the truck at that point and attempted to walk away, but were followed by onlookers and the police were contacted.
Arrested and charged was 29 year old Trevor Johnson with impaired driving . No one was injured in the crash.
