Police say that on August 29th members from the #2 District Street Crime Unit conducted an investigation on two males who were seen by Police to doing drug transactions in Niagara Falls area parking lots.

 

As a result of the investigation, the males were arrested inside a local store with the assistance of Uniform Patrol.  A large quantity of heroin, cocaine and money was recovered. In total 33 grams of Heroin (street value $9900), 9.6 grams of Cocaine (street value $960) and a sum of cash was seized.

Charged is 21 yr old Tran Sidney Nguyen of Toronto.  He faces possession for the purpose of trafficking both heroin and cocaine, possession of proceeds of crime and driving while disqualified.  Nguyen was held pending a bail hearing on August 30th in St Catharines.

Also charged is 27 yr old Maurice James of Toronto who faces possession for the purpose of trafficking both heroin and cocaine and possession of proceeds of crime under $5000.  James was also wanted in Toronto for possession of a schedule 2 substance, fail to comply and obstruct peace officer.  James  was held pending a bail hearing on August 30th in St Catharines.
