On Sunday, March 4th at approximately 3:00 a.m. the Niagara Regional Police Service, the Niagara Emergency Medical Services and the St. Catharines Fire Services responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Glenridge Avenue near Wychwood Road in St. Catharines.

 

Initial investigation showed that a 2008 Cadillac was being driven southbound on Glenridge Avenue by a 26-year-old St. Catharines male. This driver lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck a large tree in the front yard of a private residence. People in this area called 911 and assisted the man.

The driver suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital before being flown to an out of region hospital in critical condition and the collision is still under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit.
