Niagara Regional Police say the Fryin’ Guys Restaurant on Lake in St. Catharines was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon at about 2:30 pm.
Officers arrived on scene and their initial investigation found that a lone male had just entered and robbed the restaurant with a handgun. The suspect fled the area on a bicycle prior to officer’s arrival with an undisclosed amount of money. No staff members or customers were physically injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as:
White Male
Approximately 5’10ft., 150lbs. – slender build
Matted or dread lock mid length light brown hair
A tattoo on his right calf
Blue baseball cap (backwards) with a bandanna underneath
Blue / grey long sleeve button down shirt
Blue knee length plaid shorts
Black face mask
Red and white socks pulled up past the ankle
Yellow gloves
Black Nike backpack with a white swoosh on the back with a black side bag
The bicycle has a black frame with a red marking or logo on the bottom bar and a white seat.
The male was last seen riding the bicycle on Dufferin Street, eastbound towards York Street.
Detectives have been able to obtain photos of the suspect (see below).

Anyone (residents or businesses) in the area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras are asked to review their footage for suspicious activity for the period between 1:30PM and 3:00PM on August 4, 2021.
